1987 Vespa PK 125 Automatica
Year/Make/Model1987 Vespa PK 125 Automatica
DescriptionSuper rare 1987 Vespa PK 125 Automatica Color: Dark Gray. Mileage: 6765 miles or 10,888 km Price: $3500.00 US This is a rare scooter in the US; this vintage Vespa PK 125 Automatica model was never officially imported to the US but a very few were imported by individuals. This particular Automatica was imported by Creston Coates -- one of the founders of Vespa America. This Automatica has a CVT transmission, so you get all that vintage scoot but with a simple twist and go tranny! No shifting needed here! It runs solid and has both a kick start and a push button starter. It’s had a recent comprehensive tune-up and approx $1200 of new tweaks and updates: awesome sassy red wheels, pretty white wall Conti tires, new red Bitubo shocks, new seat (I have the original seat in great condition if you want it), new back rack, battery, various new gaskets, and the like. I have Ohio title in hand in my name. Also, this is a European bike -- the speedometer is in km, not MPH. Please note: (1) The previous owner gently laid the Automatica down to avoid a collision and sustained some obvious deep scratches on the left cowl cover — not really dented. These could be sanded out and the cowl repainted; I never bothered, as I liked having a little road warrior attitude on my scoot. Paint is very good overall for 1987. (2) This was a self-mixing scoot but the plastic oil holder eventually leaked and was removed; it is now a pre-mix scoot and the port is capped. Happy to work with whomever you send to ship/transport the scooter. This is a very rare collector’s specimen but is also a very powerful, rideable, fun scooter. Please email me for more photos — this site only allows me to post one… :)
