Description | This vintage 3 wheel mail delivery Scooter is in great shape. The upper body is fiberglass with no cracks and the chassis is rust free. I bought this thinking I could have fun with my kids , but it is truly a one person Scooter. These vehicles, along with the Cushman model were the first individual mail delivery vehicles the US Post Office used. It has a 3-speed transmission with reverse. I have had it up to 37 MPH (but you don’t want to turn that fast!). It runs on a four stroke Onan 2-cylinder engine. It even includes the original side curtains (although I don’t know how to properly set them up). It has new rear shocks, wheel cylinders, wheels, tires, and freshly reworked carb. All lights / brake lights work as they should. And now for the best part, the REAR BOX CAN EASILY HOLD TWO PONY KEGS as well as a full gas tap setup! These were designed to carry several hundred pounds of mail.
Asking $4800 or best offer. Additional pictures are available. Thanks! |
