Rebuilt 1980 Vespa P125X engine
Year/Make/ModelRebuilt 1980 Vespa P125X engine
DescriptionRecently disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with a brand new stock style crankshaft and new bearings, seals, gaskets and o-rings. This engine is for the classic manual-shift Vespas mainly from the 1970s and 80s (but it also could work in earlier Vespas too with basic modifications.) Other new parts include replacement cylinder studs from SIP in Germany, new kickstart rubber buffers, new engine swing arm buffer, plus other stock hardware as needed. The top end of the motor, as well as the gear stack, clutch and rear brake/hub, were disassembled, inspected, cleaned and rebuilt. This is from a low miles scooter that had fewer than 8,000 miles prior to being parked some years ago. Sale includes a rebuilt and installed Del'Orto SI 20/20D carburetor, complete with "autolube" type carb box, so no need to premix 2-stroke oil into the fuel. The motor has a stock flywheel and stator (double-yellow wire type), which needs to be rewired to suit the buyer's intentions. I will supply new replacement condenser and points with sale, if desired. This motor hasn't seen any ethanol gas or new oil added since the rebuild, so it hasn't been restarted yet. It's ready to be swapped into a new home in another scooter (I removed it from its original P125X rusty frame.) Price: Reduced to only $400. Local pickup in Western Massachusetts. Any questions, just email me. Thanks!
