Hey Scoot.net crew. I bought this barn-found Primavera with a sound engine and a whole set of new parts. Only problem was the tubes in the headset were frozen.
I happened to have a neighbor who I saw on a classic Vespa often and thought "Vespa owners surely are out to help one another, maybe he could help!". He couldn't, but "knew a guy who can get them out, could have him do it the next time he sees him in the next couple weeks no problem". Well, that was a lie. The neighbor moved in those next couple weeks and took my Primavera's headset with him. Really great life lesson about trusting people who just share a hobby.
Now I'm looking for a compatible headset to be able to do the restoration. If anyone has any leads/has a headset they'd like to sell, I'd greatly appreciate it. (I do still have the original speedometer). And if you'd be interested in trading/selling for a pre-1972 model, running or not, let's talk. |
