I have owned this vespa for six years. In that time, I put it through a near complete restoration, not to showroom quality, but a beautiful fully functioning bike, nonetheless.
The original color of the bike was a medium steel blue. I had some minor body work done and decided to have it professionally painted the root beer brown you see today. The bike has a clean title that is currently registered non-op with CA DMV. I believe the fees to bring it current are one hundred dollars. DMV shut down because of COVID before I could get the bike registered.
This bike is in excellent mechanical condition, it has 11,000 km on the odometer. I had Barber's Shop Automotive in Sacramento do all of the mechanical work. They are the best Vespa and Alfa Romeo mechanics you'll find anywhere. I have all documentation. A complete engine rebuild was done. I also had a cosa clutch (the best clutch you can buy) installed. The fuel tank and fuel lines were redone. The front and rear shocks were replaced and the tires have minuscule wear on them. In fact, the engine rebuild, clutch, shocks and tires all have less than three hundred miles on them. The bike is kick start only (usually in one or two kicks). It uses both gasoline and two-stroke oil. The two-stroke oil DOES NOT need to be mixed with the gas, there is an automatic feeding system. It is also a manual 4 speed transmission so you must know how to shift this vehicle, a true Italian original!
I've put a few upgrades on the bike, that I hope you'll appreciate. I installed a chrome passenger foot-rest, kick stand and mirror. The turn signals are a smoked gray color. I installed an under-the-seat, anti-theft system. I also have a Termoscud -Tucano Urbano leg shield, which is great for all-season riding. I have two sets of keys for the ignition, glove box and anti-theft system.
As well, I have MANY, MANY extra parts for this bike. I have included photos of both the bike and all of the parts.
Included in the sale; turn signal and headlight bulbs, extra tire tubes, The tool to install legshield trim, two legshield trim pieces, three extra sets of turn signal covers in orange, clear and smoke, a full electrical wiring harness, new brake pads, brake/clutch cable pliers, Italian made screw epoxy, an unpainted headset, headset ignition system with keys, extra fuel line, full set of floor running boards w/rubber stripping, many other replacement rubber pieces as well.
