I am parting ways with my 1963 VNB. This scooter was originally sold as a 3-speed 125cc. Somewhere along the way the headset was swapped with a VBB headset with the rectangular speedometer housing and a 4-speed shifter. The gearbox was also swapped for a 4-speed and the engine taken from 125cc to 150cc. It was resprayed with a color matched from a late 50's Vespa GS, a bluish silver, about 15 years ago. I believe this is when all the VNB to VBB work was done. The previous owner had the work done through First Kick and I believe is was also resprayed through them. Paint is still in perfect shape. Since then it was ridden a couple thousand miles and stored in a parking garage.
I purchased this scooter locally (SF) 2.5 years ago.
Since owning it I have stored it in my garage and had it serviced at Second Chance Scooters. In November of 2019 Joe at Second Chance replaced the following:
- brakes and rear brake cable and switch
- handlebar switch
- cylinder and head
- kickstarter gear
- gaskets and seals on motor
- main motor bearings
- rebuilt 12v ignition
This is a solid classic scooter that has been completely gone through.
Has 8" Michelin tires with a few hundred miles on them.
