A scooter that is taken apart to facilitate rebuilding or restoration, typically found in basements, garages, or yards. This is the most common type of scooter owned by a vintage scooterist.

Example of use in common scooterist vernacular: "Yeah, I'm waiting for a nice PK engine to come along to put that smallframe back together."
