| Description | 1972 Vespa/LML PL 170 Small Frame with new LML 100cc, electronic ignition engine.
GOTTA GO.... $750 and it's yours! This is a *NOS* (new old stock) PL170 frame, never used, repainted. The engine is a new old stock 100cc PL170 engine made by LML but with some Italian parts. The LML 100cc engine cases were assembled with all NOS LML internal parts, Delorto 16mm carb, Ducati flywheel, and CDI/ coil (Indian one piece coil and CDI). It also has a brand new 10" fork, rims, rear shock, and new tires. It’s got a new wiring harness, switches, and new keyed ignition. ISSUES: These scoots have been sitting for 2 years in storage. They were filled gas and 2 stroke oil, and fired right up. They run out pretty good but seem to have a little hesitation and don’t seem to wind up all the way. Probably needs a carb cleaning and tune up. I am also at 5500 ft here in D-town and may need to be re-jetted if buyer lives at altitude or may be perfect at sea level. I don’t know too much else about them. These just need a little tweaking and would be a great base for a daily, racer, etc. ******************************************************** A little bit about the PL170 from the SIP website… … The PL170 is a Vespa model by Piaggio that does not officially exist. This is a special model that has been exclusively manufactured for the Indian market about 30 years ago. The PL170 is a “MixedVespa” made up of original parts of the V50, PV, ET3, 50Special and PK models right from the gearing and chassis parts up to the fork. Everything on the bike is of small frame make, most similar to a Vespa V50…. Feel free to ask any questions. |
