Description | The bike is straight as an arrow. The miles are accurate and true. Scooter was never titled and was owned by the dealer's daughter. (The orig dealer's emblem is still attached to the legshield.) I cleaned the carb, sprayed starting fluid into the carb mouth, and it started 1st kick on the old Champion plug. Will need a new fuel tap and THOROUGH tank cleaning. The Aquila seat frame is rust-free, the Pirellis still hold air, only 1 shows any rot. The fork, legshield, engine doors, floors, front fender, rims and the entire frame are ALL incredibly straight and without any creasing, wrinkling, bending, or warping of ANY kind. I've have not seen a straighter vintage frame. EVERYTHING on this scooter is Razor Edge STRAIGHT. To get her on the road: new batt/clean the tank, install new tap. All the cables operate fine, as does the clutch and both brakes; it shifts smoothly through all the gears. Speedo and odometer work. 1 small tear in back corner of seat cover. Missing only the headlight ring. Frame and headset have surface *only* pitting. Paint is original; I think some sanding and rubbing compound would diminish a lot of the surface discoloring. Rubber floor strips/endcaps are still in great shape. P-style h'bar switches are intact, & crack free. Basically, what you are looking at in an NOS bike with a rough paint job & gas tank. I have ample pictures, so feel free to email for more photos. Frame # V5B3T. In 2 hours or less you can have her running and on the road: Install a new batt & fuel tap after cleaning/blasting the gunk from the tank. I doubt you'd have to change the gear oil.
