1961 Electric Vespa
Year/Make/Model1961 Electric Vespa
DescriptionHere’s your chance to own an electric Vespa or a DIY Rat Rod 2-stroke bike. I sandblasted and restored the body myself – it’s never been to Asia. It does have a 10” Sprint-style fork on the front. If you want an electric Vespa: The electric running gear was all purchased from Kelly Controller and has very low mileage since the conversion – less than 200 miles. It is quick, fun to ride, and very silent (you can sneak up on cats and squirrels with it.) It tops out at 28 mph. The rear disc brake and the low center of gravity make this thing a blast on windy roads. If you want to know more about it, do a search for “electric VNB” on EVAlbum dot com. I am selling it with four 12-volt batteries and a nice 48-volt charger. $1650 or near offer (The batteries are not pictured - they sit on the floorboard. It would be much nicer if you choose to upgrade the batteries to lithium and place them in the cowls.) If you want a 2-stroke Vespa (Slower) I will remove the electric running gear and throw in a very complete P125 motor (could use new seals and bearings), a new set of cables, almost new rims and tires, and most everything you need to make it back into gas burner. (I don’t have a gas tank, petcock, or a rear brake pedal and various small parts.) $975 or near offer If you want a 2-stroke Vespa (Faster) All the same stuff listed above but I will also throw in a new DR180 top-end and a new Simonini chrome pipe. $1250 or near offer If you want an 8” Vespa I can also throw in a Vespa Super parts motor to help you convert P125 Motor to 8” and I’ll throw in a VBB front fork. Just let me know what combination of stuff you may be interested in. No trades. PS I also have a P200 (Silver) and a P125 (Red) (See tiny pic)
