| Description | In Northern California, we'd like to welcome all Lambretta Riders to Santa Cruz for the 2018 Lammy Jammy.
Organised by an international group of people who have been organising rallies for decades, and using that international experience to bring you the best experience you'll find for any Lambretta owner.
The theme is based on Lost Boys which was filmed in the factious town of Santa Carla (Santa Cruz itself).
The idea is to make this a mix of a riders event and a standard rally.
Before the actual Rally, we'll run a Mille (1000km) in 2 days around the beautiful Northern California coast and mountains. Not for the faint of heart, but a fabulous experience if you want to take part. It is a competition, but not a race, and the handicap tends to lean towards older machines.
Then, if you ever watched Quadrophenia, you may remember as they rode towards Brighton and how various groups joined in to create a bigger and bigger group. We'll try to recreate this by hosting meet ups in 3 different bay area locations (SF, South Bay, and Oakland). As they groups merge on Friday morning towards Santa Cruz, it will get bigger and bigger. Imagine a few hundred scooters riding into Santa Cruz together, and the impact it will have.... and you'll be part of it.
Whilst in Santa Cruz, there is plenty to do, and we have made sure that accommodation is available at all levels from Camping, RV's and various hotel levels. So, if you want a low cost vacation, or want to being the whole family, we will have it all. There's movie theatres, the famous boardwalk, fun park, restaurants, many many bars, and then also Steam Trains up in the red woods.... as well as a beach! In summer! In California!
We are planning some great events, such as a Lost Boys treasure hunt for one ride. a Show and Shine, and we have tentatively booked Chris Pope and The Chords UK (The Chords were a major UK Mod Bank from 1979 to 1982) for entertainment on the Saturday night.
We are going to push this through, though, for the whole weekend. No running away on Sunday, we'll still be going hard and have plenty to do on the Sunday with another ride (Suitably late to get over hang overs) and more entertainment.
We'll close down on Monday morning, and ride back to the Bay Area.
Santa Cruise will not know what hit them. You will not know what hit you, but you will remember.
