| Description | 1978 Vespa 125 2-stroke which seems to be mostly all here but no guarantee. Missing the two rear side panels and there may be parts missing from the motor, I'm not sure. as I am not a mechanic. Motor turns over freely with the kick start. Steel body looks good with a little surface rust in places but should clean up okay. Really not very much rust. Wheels look like they will clean up okay. Front tire is up, back tire is not. Fork and suspension seem okay. Gas tank is clean and not rusty inside. The steel is all solid and doesn't appear dented except there is a crease on the front panel as you can see in the photo but it's not bad. There is no key and I asked a local locksmith what he would charge to make a key and he said "usually" $40. I bought this to restore but am approaching 80 years old and I no longer have the interest. The fenders do not appear to be bent and I am impressed with how thick and strong the steel is. This scooter is structurally very strong and is not beat up but needs a thorough cleaning, paint, and repairs to make it operational again. The condition of the headlight and tail light look alright.
Underneath the exhaust and muffler look okay but I can't promise.
The switches and levers etc seem to all be there. It seems to roll alright and the fork seems good. I am selling with no reserve and will do my best to help if you decide to have it shipped. There is no title and I will give you a bill of sale.
Remember it is an old scooter and will need clean up and paint and repair and some parts. It has been stored out of the weather.
Odometer shows 2757 miles and I assume this is correct but don't know that for a fact. When I bought it I was told it needed a new coil but I have made no effort to repair or restore it. I have had heart surgery and now prefer to sit in my rocking chair and read a book.
