1962 Lambretta LI125
Year/Make/Model1962 Lambretta LI125
DescriptionOffered for your consideration is an early Lambretta LI125. When I ran the VIN it came up as a Riverside, however it is not badged as such. Maybe it was one of the early ones sold by Wards, before they badged them? This is a fully rebuilt patina bike. This scooter came from California, and had sat for quite a while. I took it completely apart, cleaned everything up, installed a new wiring harness, cables, and rebuilt the motor. The motor: 125 case, Mugello 185 top end, GP taper crank (probably Tamini, I forget) AF ljghtened flywheel, SIL stator, Dellorto PHBH 26 carb, SX200 gears, 5 plate clutch, and an Ancilloti big bore exhaust. All bearings, seals, and gaskets were replaced. Yamaha R1 shock with a 220lb spring and brass bushings, medium range gas tank, and have bolt on brackets on the fork for the dampers, front hub was completely rebuilt as well Original Vigano floor board extenders, the kick start side one has a piece broken off which is a common problem with these since they set so close to the kick start lever, I have that part somewhere in my shop, it's included if I can find it. Instead of the stock saddle seats I installed a bench seat with a red and black cover, aftermarket ballon grips and brake lever covers. It has a newer chrome bumper guard (probably Cuppini) Comes with front crash bars and a very rare Lucas headlight assembly, plus the rear rack. I purposely left the scooters paint untouched, then applied the vintage travel stickers to add a kitschy feel to it. The legshield had 2 holes in it, I'm guessing for an old set of crashbars, I used some bolt on reflectors to cover them up. This scooter has been my daily rider for the last few years, it was built for touring and has always performed well. Most recently I rode from Portland to Astoria, and rode back home on the freeway from Forest Grove to Gresham at highway speeds, that was about 250 miles over 2 days and the scooter didn't miss a beat. It's a solid scooter set up for touring, not the fastest scooter I've ever had, but plenty of power and very enjoyable to ride. I have a Vermont registration in my name, once signed you just have to go to your local DMV and get it titled in your name Can provide more pictures if needed, just have to pull it out of the garage and get it ready for riding season.
