Ride leaves around midnightish for the French Quarter. Go goth gawking with us if you are in town early to get the party started. Friday, November 1st Friday night will mark the official start of this year's Down and Dirty. Meet up for a night of dancing to the beats of dj Matty at mod night. Things get started around 10:00pm with registration for the weekend and a midnight ride. Saturday, November 2nd Meet for breakfast before the days ride to Fort Pike to the east of New Orleans at the mouth of Lake Ponchatrain. Admission to the fort is $2.00. We'll ride back to the city for food and drinks before making it to the infamous drag races. Then it will be off for another ride to the night's show, featuring the Original Three and the Fontanelles UK, some of New Orleans finest bands. Sunday, November 3rd Brush off the hangovers and wake up to breakfast uptown at Veloce Scooters. Ride to New Orleans lakefront and afterwards to the weekend's raffle, awards, and gymkhana to close out the festivities. If you are looking for hotels for the weekend keep in mind that New Orleans is a tourist town and there are tons of hotels to chose from. Any of the downtown hotels or the uptown places on St. Charles would be fine for the weekend, but if you find a great rate elsewhere in the city, feel free to email for information about what the neighborhood is like. Also we have lots of garage space if you get a hotel that you can't park a scooter at. |
